Kitchen Trend Predictions for 2021

As we near the end of 2020, we can’t help but look forward to the new year ahead and all that it will hold. For anyone that is building a new kitchen or remodeling a kitchen, the first thing you are probably wondering is – what is hot right now in kitchen design? We have seen a continued love of quartz countertops and that will likely continue into 2021 as well as white cabinets, which will always be a popular pick because they are gorgeous and easy to integrate into any kitchen. But, we are excited to see what trends are coming that might surprise and delight.

Incorporate Color

Don’t be scared to throw some color into your kitchen. There are lots of ways to add a subtle hint or a bold pop of color, as Country Living points out, “You don’t have to scrap an all-white kitchen to stay on trend. Dip your toe in the color pool instead, whether you store colorful pottery in glass-front cabinets, bring in colorful furniture, or paint a large piece like a kitchen island.”

Black Countertops are Cool

White countertops have reigned supreme for the last few years but now there is a big trend in dark counters again. Black is hot because it is still neutral, like white, but provides an edgier look. Additionally, it can add some much-needed contrast in a kitchen.

Kitchen Appliances in Color Other Than Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a neutral metal that looks good in almost any kitchen. But, now we are seeing a lot more kitchen appliances in black or matte black, charcoal, with wood finish to match the cabinetry, or with a pop of color.
